![]() Staying healthy in day-to-day life and in the field is important. Beyond eating properly there are some simple things you can do to make sure that you remain healthy. One of the keys to staying healthy is to keep your immune system strong. A strong immune system will help keep you from getting a cold or the flu along with other ailments and will help speed recovery time if you do happen to come down with something. What I take daily: Elderberry one pill twice a day Echinacea one pill twice a day Colloidal Silver 10ml/one teaspoon twice a day ConcenTrace one pill once a day During the winter when I don't get at least one hour of good sunlight each day I take one vitamin D pill twice a day. if others around me are getting a cold I take one vitamin C pill twice a day. A good quality multi vitamin would be a good idea as well. If you have problems with "Charley Horses" or other muscle aches take vitamin E once a day. Beyond the things above I like to keep around some Herb Pharm brand Clove Oil and Oreganol Oil. Clove Oil is good for toothaches (analgaesic and antiseptic) while Oreganol Oil is an antiseptic and antimicrobial. In short, they can help to kill the bugs that ail you. With any essential oil make sure that it is supplement grade, aromatherapy grade should not be consumed - it is for smell only. Back Issues (and general healing) Several years ago I was involved in an accident. As a result of that accident I have two disks that protrude to the side. L3-L4 goes to one side and L4-L5 goes to the other. One goes to the right and one to the left, I forget which is which. About 4 years after the accident I was still having a lot of problems, can you say fell like an 80 year old man? I heard about Wobenzym N and started taking that, after a month or so I started seeing a real improvement. Today I would say that my back is at 98% or so. I can lift just about anything I want with no problems, the only real problem is doing dishes since that involves standing in one place. Beyond that I can walk as much as I would like or need to, walking is actually good for my lower back. Unfortunately Wobenzym N has trippled in price and I am not willing to pay that much for it. I found a substitution for it at Swanson Vitamins that costs me about $60 a year - a small price to pay. Pancreatin and Bromelain pills, one of each twice a day, seem to work just as well as Wobenzym N. Wobenzym N Pancreatin Bromelain I mention Swanson Vitamins quite a bit because they are local to me, I can walk into their store to buy what I want, and they ship anywhere in the country. If you look at the pictures below you can see L1 and L5 marked. The picture on the left is a normal section of the lumbar, the picture on the right shows a representation of what the disks between L3 and L4 and between L4 and L5 look like in my back. There is constant pressure on L4 and it wants to twist which can cause all sorts of problems. Since I started taking Wobenzym N I have had very few problems, if you have some sort of back problems I'd give either Wobenzym N or Pancreatin and Bromelain a try - you should see improvement within 6 weeks (most likely sooner). You could try a control test after two or three months and stop taking it, within a month you should start seeing your old problems returning. For me the price is well worth the lack of pain and general improvement I get from it. ![]()
