 Providing food for your family could be very difficult. In order to do this you need two things - food to last around a year, whether canned, freeze dried or dehydrated. These are long term storage foods, foods that can last for a minimum of a year and in some cases 25+ years. The second is seeds to grow your own food, the best way to do this is to keep a supply of heriloom seeds that will produce true year after year. The scrambled eggs taste good but the texture is off. (2) I have tried two or three Backpacker's Pantry pouches and have been less than impressed. None have been bad but they are bland and not as good as Mountain House. If you're hungry they are edible and filling, that is the best I can say for them.
